Kym Ellery closes her Australian fashion arm
Fashion designer Kym Ellery is closing her Australian business, citing the high cost of manufacturing in Australia and our country’s isolation from the international fashion capitals.
Ms Ellery closed her two Sydney stores on April 16, and 22 staff were made redundant two days later. The founder and creative director of Ellery is also closing her Elleryland headquarters for manufacturing and production in Sydney’s Chippendale.
