Fancy a rare $2760 whisky? How about a $16,000 sneaker set too?
Australian Chase Shiel has designed the limited-edition footwear to celebrate the launch of Glenfiddich’s Grand Yozakura single malt.
What could sway you to hand over $16,000 for a pair of sneakers? Maybe knowing you’re only one of five people in the world to own such a pair would be enough to slap down the credit card. Or that they were made in Australia’s own (and only) “sneaker atelier” by Melbourne-based designer Chase Shiel.
If you are so inclined, and happen to be partial to a decent whisky, you’re in luck because Glenfiddich is releasing a limited-edition line of sneakers to celebrate the launch of Grand Yozakura, a first-of-its-kind Scotch single malt finished in rare ex-Awamori casks from Okinawa, Japan.
