This month, in the Sicilian resort town of Taormina, otherwise known as the setting of season two of The White Lotus, Bulgari revealed its latest, kaleidoscopic high jewellery collection, Polychroma.
“The idea was to include as many colours as possible,” says Lucia Silvestri, Bulgari’s creative director of jewellery. She counts 56 tones expressed in precious gems – matching tanzanites with lapis lazuli or artfully clashing morganites with onyx. “There are so many new combinations of colours, stones and cuts all together.”
