An edgy Hollywood hotel brand makes its Australian debut
It may have its origins in Los Angeles, but The StandardX has embraced the gritty hipness of its new location in Fitzroy, Melbourne.

In their initial design presentation to the US hotel group Standard International, Melbourne studio Hecker Guthrie made sure to include a Freddo Frog. The popular chocolate amphibian was originally manufactured by MacRobertson’s at its factory just a few blocks from the site of the planned StandardX hotel in the gritty-hip inner Melbourne enclave of Fitzroy.
