In their initial design presentation to the US hotel group Standard International, Melbourne studio Hecker Guthrie made sure to include a Freddo Frog. The popular chocolate amphibian was originally manufactured by MacRobertson’s at its factory just a few blocks from the site of the planned StandardX hotel in the gritty-hip inner Melbourne enclave of Fitzroy.
