Let’s talk about doors. Not the usual starting point with a new car – unless they are butterfly, gullwing, scissor or suicide doors – yet they are one of the more interesting things about Zeekr’s new 7X SUV.
They open at the touch of a button, they close at the touch of the same button, or if you prefer, a different one. They stop immediately if there is anything solid in the way, say, a person or pillar in the car park. If unhindered, they can open nearly 90 degrees. That’s about as wide as any modern car doors I’ve seen and makes packing things inside – be they parcels, booster seats or people – inside about as easy as can be.
