The Lotus Emeya is a big, dreamy electric sedan
It might be among the most British of marques, but this vehicle is made in Wuhan, China. And there are plenty more breaks with tradition, too.
It is doubtful any car company has made such a dramatic leap as this. Lotus has gone, in almost one fell swoop, from making tiny, lightweight and often fragile two-door sportsters to a high-performance luxury sedan that is electrically powered and limousine-long.
Known as the Emeya, this four-door Hyper-GT (their term) is ambitiously aimed at the Porsche Taycan, BMW i7, Mercedes EQS 53 and any other large and rapid electrics that come to market.
