Django scooter hits the retro spot
Ride away for less than the price of some handbags on this stylish newcomer from Peugeot.
It may not be the fastest thing on two wheels, but the Django is certainly street-smart.
And the prize for the cutest scooter goes to… the Django. It’s been around in Europe for a while, and is now in Australia as part of a full range of Peugeot scooters. There’s even the three-wheeled model, known as Metropolis.
But it is the retro Django that is bound the turn the most heads. The bodywork is loosely based on Peugeot’s S55 model of the 1950s, though the mechanical components, instrumentation and LED daytime running lights are thankfully modern. Power comes from an aircooled 150 cc single-cylinder four-stroke engine.
