At 15, Cherie Currie wore corsets and fishnet stockings on stage as singer for the Runaways, an all-girl band marketed as "jailbait rock", but 45 years on she doesn't feel exploited and thinks the #metoo movement has gone too far.

“We exploited ourselves! It was me who found that corset,” says Currie from her home in California’s San Fernando Valley, where these days she’s a successful chainsaw artist, but still living in the long shadow cast by the world’s first all-female rock group to achieve commerical success.
