A Man on the Inside is a poignant new Netflix comedy series. Executive producer, writer and director Michel Schur (The Good Place, Parks and Recreation) has created a compassionate look at ageing, friendship and living life to the full. Ted Danson is in brilliant touch as Charles Nieuwendyk, a retired college engineering professor retreating from life while trying to process the grief of his wife’s passing.

Charles is challenged by daughter Emily (Mary Elizabeth Ellis) to distract himself with a hobby, in part to lessen the guilt she feels at being unable to connect with him.
