Victoria Racing Club has pulled out all the stops, adding a fine-dining marquee and other delights, while principal sponsor Lexus is going green.

The Birdcage is back, darling. After a pandemic-enforced two-year hiatus, the glam, invitation-only crowds are dusting off their spring-racing glad rags and charging their champagne flutes in anticipation of a Melbourne Cup Carnival that is bigger, better and more gilded than ever.
Model Montana Cox pops a cork of Mumm’s champagne in celebration. Chef de cave Laurent Fresnet will be at Mumm’s marquee this year to talk through a collection of limited-edition cuvées paired with appetisers.
