Magic millions pay off for art auctioneers

John Brack’s painting Yellow Legs danced a merry fandango at auction in Melbourne last week, chalking up the top price of $1.2 million.
The Brack was the third million-dollar artwork sold by Deutscher and Hackett this year, following its $1.71 million April sale of Ian Fairweather’s Barbecue and $1.65 million sale of Charles Blackman’s Alice on the Table.
