Kaos, streaming now on Netflix, is a clever retelling of Greek mythology set in modernity in the city of Herakleion, Krete.

This is a fantasy universe, yet it feels familiar. Creator Charlie Covell (The End of the F**king World) imbues the setting with the laissez-faire trappings of modern capitalist societies. Covell has taken no prisoners in building a world with plenty to ogle for viewers new to the subject matter, or those familiar with Homer’s Iliad and The Odyssey.
