Harry Potter books could be worth more than $250k
Despite being ubiquitous among Millennials, a complete set of Harry Potter books is expected to sell for between $176,000 and $265,000 when it goes to auction in the UK this week.
The seven novels are all hardback first editions but what makes the set so special is that it includes a very rare first impression of the very first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, which has the word wand twice in the list of school supplies on p53, as well as a misspelling of the word Philosopher’s (printed as Philospher’s) on the back cover.
