Possibly the most driven and controversial art auctioneer Australia has known, the formidable Rod Menzies, died on Monday aged 76. He leaves Carolyn, his wife of 44 years, and their three sons, Cameron, Brandon and Lachlan.
“Rod suffered from dementia, as his mother did, so it’s been a journey with which we are regrettably familiar,” says Cameron, “but thankfully his illness was somewhat shorter than hers”.
