It's perhaps not surprising that just days after taking their technology company Atlassian public with a valuation of $8 billion, Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar nominate the birth of their third children as the highlight of their years.

This, after all, is the company that puts the philosophy of "no bullshit" at the centre of its corporate culture. And the founders appear determined to stay grounded.
