Turbulent waters make it tough to float
Newly listed small-cap industrials have had a rocky ride since floating during a period of unprecedented market volatility in the past three months.
The question whether to take the risk on a newly floated company in a volatile market will be front of mind for investors this week, with Owen Hegarty’s Tigers Realm Coal listing on Wednesday.
For small-cap industrial initial public offerings, though, so far this year performance has been mixed, with half of the debutantes’ share prices trading below their float price.
