Australia will be left behind in the global race to attract travellers if the government does not accelerate the development of local sustainable aviation fuel, events industry bosses warn.
International and domestic visitors spend more than $20 billion on business events, but as companies become increasingly conscious of travel emissions, the need for airlines to have access to climate-friendly fuel is growing.
