Virgin Australia has asked the government to expand its pandemic support for domestic air services to make up for tougher state border restrictions.

Virgin runs five return services a week between Sydney and Brisbane currently. It is unclear how much more cash the government would hand the airline to underwrite these flights. Bloomberg
