Toll accused of sanctions busting in North Korea, Iran, Syria
Logistics group Toll was accused by US authorities of 8000 breaches of sanctions imposed by the United Nations Security Council for conducting business in North Korea, Iran, Syria, Yemen and Somalia.
The Melbourne-based company, which has never publicly disclosed the allegations, has spent more than $200 million on cases brought by the US Office of Foreign Assets Control, an arm of the US Treasury, and other law-enforcement agencies, according to a person with knowledge of the case.
