The backlash against the federal government’s Future Made In Australia policy conveniently ignores the fact that Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has a proven track record of melding government and private sector funding to transform a critical sector of the economy.

Albanese was the driving force behind the Gillard Labor government giving the greenlight to a $570 million taxpayer investment in the Moorebank Intermodal Precinct in 2012.
