Qantas ‘pulling out all stops’ to get passengers home at Christmas

Qantas says it is ready for the festive season and has contingency plans in place to compensate for an ageing fleet and engineering strikes that threaten to disrupt travellers across Australia this summer.

As Alliance Unions engineers downed tools on Friday and with another strike planned for December 20, Qantas Domestic CEO Markus Svensson said the airline had invested heavily to make sure passengers make it home on time at Christmas.
