Qantas executive pay falls 40pc, Alan Joyce pockets $3m

Qantas chief executive Vanessa Hudson’s pay packet fell to $4.4 million, while her predecessor Alan Joyce pocketed $3.4 million despite only working for two full months last financial year, the airline’s annual report shows.

The airline had already determined that Mr Joyce, who resigned in September last year, would not receive $9.2 million in bonuses as part of a review of the company’s governance conducted by ex-McKinsey partner Tom Saar.
