Qantas boss Alan Joyce has added another year to his tenure after sacking 6000 workers, meaning he will now stay on board with the airline to see out its drastic three-year COVID-19 recovery plan, which also includes a $1.9 billion capital raising, until completion at the end of the 2023 financial year.
