Negotiations resume on West Gate Tunnel dispute
Negotiations to try to resolve billions of dollars of cost blow-outs on Transurban’s West Gate Tunnel project in Melbourne will resume on Thursday as the tollroad group tries to settle the long-running dispute as quickly as possible.
Transurban, the Victorian government and contractors John Holland and CIMIC have been in talks for months over who will pay for excess costs on the tunnel project, originally priced at $6.7 billion, without reaching an agreement. Commercial discussions will be held on Thursday and Friday.
