Lamborghini backlog rises to 18 months as profits soar
The boss of luxury carmaker Lamborghini says the group is still assessing by how much it will lift prices as inflation across the industry accelerates, with heavy demand meaning backlogs for new vehicles have now blown out to 18 months.
Lamborghini generated its highest six-monthly profit on record even though economic uncertainty is increasing, with chief executive Stephan Winkelmann saying it made more profit in the six months ended June 30 than it did for the entire calendar year 2021.
