Golden times for the used car market are over

The average time to sell a used car in Australia has blown out to its highest level in 12 months, unwinding almost four years of boom times in the secondhand vehicle market.
Supply chain backlogs for new vehicles are clearing as car manufacturers step up deliveries to buyers previously waiting more than six months, while cost-of-living pressures mean some households are delaying purchases of a used vehicle.
