Flight Centre shares follow rivals sharply down as travel demand falls

A subdued outlook from travel services giant Flight Centre left investors fearing that a booming aviation market is starting to cool, sending the company’s shares down almost a fifth on Friday.

The fall in Flight Centre’s share price came only days after Web Travel Group – a wholesale travel bookings business once part of Webjet – flagged a “subdued” start of the year, which pushed its stock 32 per cent lower.
