Etihad, Air NZ CEOs to join Virgin board
Representatives of Virgin Australia Holdings’s three major airline shareholders are expected to join its board in July, says Etihad Airways chief executive James Hogan.
Representatives of Virgin Australia Holdings’s three major airline shareholders are expected to join its board in July after the Australian carrier has worked out the final details of protocols needed to avoid conflicts of interest, says Etihad Airways chief executive James Hogan.
Mr Hogan will be joining the board of Virgin alongside Air New Zealand chief executive Christopher Luxon and an as-yet unnamed representative of Singapore Airlines. Virgin extended the offer of board seats in December following a $350 million capital raising, but it has taken months for chairman Neil Chatfield to work out how to avoid any potential conflicts of interest.
