The boss of one of Australia’s biggest tyre and wheels companies says cashed-up consumers are generally spending more on premium brands in the $5 billion industry.
National Tyre and Wheel managing director Peter Ludemann said a so-called premiumisation was underway but it was unlikely that the very robust conditions in the market lin the financial year just finished would be fully repeated this year.
