Booking.com parent takes stake in Serko

The $US83 billion ($122 billion) United States online travel aggregator that owns Booking.com and agoda.com will take a 4.7 per cent stake in dual-listed travel software group Serko Ltd via a capital raising.

Booking Holdings, which employs 26,000 people and also operates other brands including OpenTable, Rentalcars.com and KAYAK has signed up as a cornerstone investor with a NZ$17.5 million ($16.4 million) injection into the overall Serko raising of up to NZ$45 million.
