Potential Virgin Australia investors will no doubt have plenty of questions over the Bain Capital-owned airline’s decision to back Boeing in all the way.

The carrier’s decision to streamline its fleet to a single aircraft after emerging from administration and into a world where there was a shortage of parts, people and planes made a lot of sense to those who could potentially own the company if its private equity owners manage to bring it onto the ASX as they have long planned.
