Ateco eyes ASX as luxury ute demand soars
Ateco Group can’t keep up with demand for the RAM luxury pick-up trucks it imports from the US and converts to right-hand drive at a Melbourne factory. It sold 4000 last year but has a large backlog to fill, after orders accelerated to 6800 in 2021.
The RAM utes, which have powerful 5.7 litre engines and sell for between $80,000 to $150,000 depending on the model, are one of the main brands brought into Australia by Ateco alongside Renault, Maserati and LDV, the Chinese van and sports utility vehicle brand.
