'Golden age' beckons for $23b caravan industry

Finally, some good tourism news. The aviation and cruise industries might be on their knees – with city hotels not far behind – but the $23.1 billion Australian caravan and campervan industry is booming.

A record-breaking 14 million caravan trips were taken by Australians in 2019, up 9 per cent on 2018, according to the 2020 State of Industry report, which will be released this week by the Caravan Industry Association of Australia.
