Doctors and medical professionals are being inundated with calls about whether it is wise to still travel abroad over the Christmas and summer holidays, even if NSW and Victoria do not revert to two weeks’ quarantine or isolation on return home.

With the omicron variant increasing the focus on boosters – and countries such as Israel adopting three shots as the revised definition of “fully vaccinated” – many Australians are wondering if it is better to wait until they have had a booster shot before boarding an international flight.
