Telstra blamed for AAPT's misfortune

The sale of Telecom New Zealand's Australian subsidiary, AAPT, has been thrown into disarray after its value was slashed in half - and the telco cites a steep rise in wholesale prices inflicted on it by arch-rival Telstra.
The writedown comes a month after TNZ announced a review of the future of AAPT, which may be sold or merged with another Australian communications operation.
