Only two hours earlier Vodafone's general counsel had crossed the final t and dotted the final i with his counterpart at TPG Telecom Tony Moffat and their lawyers Norton Rose Fulbright and Herbert Smith Freehills, on a $15 billion transformational deal to bring together Australia's No.3 mobile network operator and No.2 broadband player.
