Huawei insists it hasn't given up on 5G
Besieged Chinese telecommunications giant Huawei will launch a last-ditch charm offensive to persuade the federal government to allow it to build 5G networks in Australia, despite revealing it will dissolve its Australian board.
The local fight will be led by former independent senator turned Huawei Australia's external lawyer Nick Xenophon, as well as Huawei's local director of corporate and public affairs, Jeremy Mitchell.
