ACCC hires Hayne barrister Michael Hodge for TPG Vodafone defence

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has hired Hayne royal commission star barrister Michael Hodge QC to defend its decision to block the merger between Vodafone Hutchison Australia and TPG Telecom.
In a management hearing in the Federal Court in Melbourne on Friday, Mr Hodge said the ACCC would base its defence on the question of whether TPG intended to build a fourth mobile network.
