Japanese beverages giant Suntory has ambitious plans to expand Frucor Beverages' international operations, judging by the premium it paid Groupe Danone in last week's $1.26 billion sale.
Groupe Danone had planned to retain the international rights to Frucor's market-leading V energy drink and excluded it from the sale process in the first round of bidding.
