Former Summit Resources managing director Alan Eggers has refused to comment on his former employer's accusation that he breached his duties as a director in amending a joint venture with a junior explorer without board knowledge.

On Friday, Summit - now under the control of Paladin Resources - said it had commenced proceedings in the Supreme Court of Western Australia against Mr Eggers and Newland Resources in relation to a heads of agreement that Summit and Newland signed on April 13.
