Shane Warne entered the pantheon of Wisden immortals by mid-career as he left batter after batter stunned.
In 2000, the Wisden cricket bible installed Shane Warne in its pantheon of 20th-century cricket immortals to sit alongside Donald Bradman, Jack Hobbs, Garfield Sobers, and Vivian Richards.
Such was his impact and psychological thrall over opposing teams, just eight years after he started playing the Test game.
