If everything goes according to plan at Flemington on Saturday afternoon, veteran company director Lindsay Maxsted could be presenting one of the most sought-after trophies in Australia to himself.

Maxsted is the chairman of the Australian arm of Coolmore, the global racing and breeding operation owned by Irish billionaire John Magnier. But he is also the breeder and minority owner of Jacquinot, the three-year-old colt who is rated a top chance in the group one Coolmore Stud Stakes on Derby Day.
