When the spinnakers unfurl and the racing begins off Hamilton Island next week there will be much more at stake than the pride of the rich and royal.

Hamilton Island Race Week has become one of Australia's top sailing regattas and more than 200 yachts will compete in the event, which runs from August 19 to 26. But beyond the sails and celebrity selfies the major sponsor, Audi, and a host of others will be getting down to business.
