What de Minaur needs to do to beat world No.1 Sinner

As the first local man to reach the Australian Open quarter-finals in a decade, Alex de Minaur has already made a bit of history. World No.1 Jannik Sinner is his next obstacle to make a lot more.

Sydney-born de Minaur is the first local into the last eight at the Australian Open since Nick Kyrgios in 2015. He is also the first Australian to reach four consecutive grand slam quarter-finals since Lleyton Hewitt charged to a final at Melbourne Park against Marat Safin in 2005.
