Head and Warner give Australia the edge in Gabba Test

Australian opener Dave Warner tormented England on the second day of the first Ashes Test at the Gabba in Brisbane, but fell agonisingly short of a century, leaving it to teammate Travis Head to score the first ton of the summer.

Although there was a scare mid-afternoon when a string of wickets gave England some hope, Head’s blazing innings – which seemed straight out of a limited overs game – ensured Australia finished the day in front.
