Roc Oil close to go-ahead on China project

Explorer Roc Oil is within weeks of a long-awaited final investment decision on a $US300 million offshore project in China’s Beibu Gulf after its Chinese partner, oil giant CNOOC, approved the development plan for the venture.
Each partner in the project to develop the WZ6-12 and WZ12-8 West oil fields in Block 22/12 is now working towards giving the go-ahead for the proejct by the end of February, Roc said on Monday.
