Woolworths has confirmed that veteran retailer Steve Donohue will lead its liquor, hotel and gaming business, Endeavour Group, which is expected to be sold or floated later this year.

Mr Donohue is currently managing director of Endeavour Drinks and was considered likely to lead the enlarged drinks business following the merger of Woolworths' liquor businesses, which include BWS, Dan Murphy's, Cellarmasters, Langtons and Pinnacle Drinks, and 75 per cent-owned hotel and gaming business ALH.
