Williams won’t back Mariner’s Globe bid

Fund manager David Williams has confirmed he will not support a takeover bid by Mariner Financial for streetwear company Globe International .

The three Hill brothers who founded the company – directors Peter and Stephen and chief executive Matt – own a majority of the stock, but Mr Williams believes his decision means the bid is unlikely to be extended past its current expiry date of February 15.
