The retail sector has been one of the hardest hit by the COVID-19 pandemic. With thousands of stores closed due to lockdown restrictions, retail is essentially on life support; even the government JobKeeper program can’t mask its bleak near-term outlook.
Many retailers have opted to bunker down and ride out the storm, while others are fast-tracking their plans to pivot to online shopping, with mixed success.
