The federal government is poised to sign off on changes to wind back daily delivery of letters as early as this week, as part of a restructure of Australia Post to keep it financially viable.

Parcel volumes continue to grow, although retailers are bracing for a quieter Christmas this year amid predictions shoppers brought forward purchases as part of Black Friday’s record sales.
